Hey guys,
Just got my car back from the shop after having the transmission leak fixed and the oil changed.
I was less than impressed with the overall experience. I set up an appointment for 8am on the 28th to drop it off, and was told the car would be diagnosed and I could pick it up around noon to take it home while the parts were on order. The service writer didn't even give me a card, name, or number. I was going to give her the 'laundry list' of small things to fix, but I didn't because I didn't want to hassle with them so I only had the trans leak taken care of. I did give them a TSB printout with the exact part #'s and the problem hoping it would save time.
Around 3pm I hadn't heard anything, so I drove by and the car was still sitting where I had left it so I called and they said they didn't get to it. That would've been fine with me, but they should've let me know.
So, it sat there over the weekend and I called them on Monday and they said they were waiting on parts. I didn't even bother mentioning the fact that I wanted to take the car home while waiting on parts because apparently the service writer didn't seem to care. It was now New Year's eve, and around 5pm I called and they had the part but still hadn't got to the car. So, there is sat until after the new year holiday.
Yesterday I went over there around lunch time and they had finished the trans leak, and hadn't started the oil change. I was assured it would be ready at 5pm when I got off work to get it. So, I arranged a ride to get over there and get it when I got off.
Come 5'o-clock, a co-worker drops me off and I go in to pay and pick it up. I should've known to have my buddy wait for me, as the car wasn't ready. Long story short, they hadn't started the oil change so I got to wait an hour.
I can understand the delay for parts, and even a little longer than usual service because it is a specialty car and a busy time of year. However, they have very poor communication.
They never once called me to let me know it was done, or even what was going on.
Also - The $90 oil change with 15% off for CTC Members should be around $76.00. They charged me $96 for some reason (that included the 15% off). ??
I took the car in with 3090 miles on it, and got it out with 3097. How many miles do you drive to change oil and fix a transmission leak? Shouldn't be more than .5 or so IMHO. This REALLY pissed me off as I'm sure someone was out ragging on the SRT...
Just thought I'd let you guys know how it went. I know some of you have received good service through Mission. I guess I am just unlucky or something...
Has anyone tried Bluebonnet yet?
