My trunk latch on my 07 Roadster felt like it broke today. Flimsy moving back and forth but doing nothing to open the trunk.
I just kept pressing the key fob for lock twice and unlock twice over and over, probably four to five times before ...presto! I could press the trunk latch, feel resistance and voila it could open and raise.
Thank God, the beer was in there tonight!
Note for future: figure out how to avoid/fix and be sure to put beer in floorboard of passenger seat. Sheriff's office be damned!
mine did the same on my '05 roadster. I had to have the latching mechanism replaced. Out of warranty of course. It happened a few times and would open after multiple unlock/lock thing, but then it wouldn't open at all. If yours is under warranty I would suggest getting it fixed while they pay for it. It was Hundreds of dollars.
