That insurance company is just feeling you out...you just got the shark-like 'bump' and depending on how you react will decide whether they come back for the kill or leave you be.

A lot of people will take the first offer from insurance and not even think twice. A lot of it is due to pure ignorance, but some people just don't want the hassle. It is amazing how you pay insurance every month without thinking twice...and the one time you need them they try to screw you.

Stand strong against them and decline their offers until you feel happy and content. It is time consuming and sucks...but you have to do it. Also, demand a rental car and make sure to see a doctor. Hold onto that rental until you are happy - it costs them money and they wont want to pay for it for long. Mention mental anguish, lawyers, etc...they love that. Play their game and you'll win.
