That is exactly what I was GOING to say but I didn't want to get over aggressive until some one countered me with a 'you are being too harsh' reply.

You said what I meant...

Guess what - the $6-8K you are upside down wont leave any more room for lint in the insurance companie's pocket. Don't think twice about holding off and demanding what you need.

She hit you - her fault, no questions. Now, they take care of you because they represent the person at fault. It is really simple. Sadly, THOUSANDS of people get scammed annually by these insurance pirates.

I've only dealt with one claim and luckily it went smooth. A friend of mine had a mustang wrecked and he had to fight for a few months, literally. He had a rental car for most of that time - and almost daily chiropractor visits. I can only imagine what it cost the Insurance company versus what it WOULD HAVE cost if they would just settle for what he asked for. They lost money...idiots.
