Default Re: Orbital Polisher or Not !!!

A good friend of mine gave me all kinds of crap when I told him that I only washed my cars at home and had invested some $400 (initially) when I purchased my PC7424, pads, polishes, etc. He flat out called me a fool. So we went outside, rolled up our sleeves...............and compared cars.

For this money I can maintain 3 vehicles for a couple of years. He takes his car, a BMW 540i, to the car wash every week and spends a measly $12 for a full service wash. Add in the tip and he's $15 out of pocket. I did the math for him - $15 x 26 car washes (a little over six months worth since he doesn't go every single week, but just about) comes to $390. Even if he only went once every two weeks, at the end of a year he has spent the same money I did. What's the difference? I maintain 3 cars for 2 years for the same money (and this includes the initial one time only $119 cost of the 7424!!!) he spends on one car in a 6 to 12 month period. So financially I'm waaaay ahead of him. But the important thing is my cars are completely swirl free and his.....looks like crap. Swirls all over the place, the thing looks horrible in bright sunlight and the paint and trim just look dull and lifeless.

The best part is he is now willing to pay me to fully polish the paint on his car and bring it back to the shine and lustre it deserves. Silly boy.
