I solved the wife problem. Made the SRT-6 her car and I "borrow" it a lot! I have had two 2004 regular coupes and one of them is amazingly quick, but there's no comparison to the horses in the SRT-6. Expect some extra roughness in the ride and a little lurching now and then, its just not quite as smooth, being so radical and all. The Mercedes engine and high-end tranny are bulletproof, so I wouldn't worry too much about abuse on a car with only 8000 miles. Hardly broken in. Look it over closely for scratches, inside and out. Someone who takes good care of their car generally doesn't abuse it. A title search could give you some history, like if it was a one-owner or Chrysler "executive" lease car. The Chrysler leases had factory provided insurance and maintenance and strict penalties for cars returned in damaged condition so they tended to be cared for. But with only 8K miles you're hardly past the first service interval. You can't break down Mobil 1 that quick!
