Sorry if this is considered threadjacking...

I think the manual, while fun, could have been so much better. First is too low and the shift to second is too notchy (is that a word?) for my taste. I'm on my second shifter mechanism and I still wish it were a smoother system. And sixth could be more of an overdrive for highway use.

If you don't make sure the shift to first is completely engaged, it will pop out. That, in itself, is no surprise but the noise it makes is ungodly. Sounds like the tranny disintegrates.

If I ever get another one, I'll go for the auto.
