Just an FYI for the members:
I have a mazda 95' 626, don't laugh it is my bad weather daily driver (35mpg)...anyway the headlights had turned completely yellow. Driving at night was like trying to see using candles. Wasn't good.
The Fix: WetSand the headlights.
Here is what I did.
1. I used masking tape all around the headlight assembly so i wouldn't scuff the paint (any worse than it currently is).
2. Begin wet sanding with 800 grit paper
3. Next use 1000 grit paper
4. Follow up with 1500 grit paper
5. Finally polish with 3M Polishing Compound for Plastic Headlamp assembles using a power buffer.
(Doing this last step by hand will obviously take longer) This step gets those fine scratches out
and makes the headlamps look brand new.
Remember: When wetsanding, keep the surface and paper wet.
I was amazed at the results on the Mazda. Since it is older the plastic on the headlamps is thicker, so I am not sure how it would turn out with on the CrossFire?
However, I did want to post this for anyone with an older car with yellowed headlamps. It is well worth the 1.5hrs to be able to see at night. (This time does include the necessary Beer brakes of course)

And of course it is much cheaper than buying new globe assemblies.
Hope this helps someone out!
Cheers,
