The film is unlike window glass tint which has an adhesive component released with water

This product will require a clean dry surface.

It will be easily removed.

I'm not sure of the correct terminology however iI guess that it may be static surface adhesion that holds it on.

You may have placed a similar removeable product on the inside of your windshield indicating your next oil change.

I wouldnt be afraid to try it... There are similar "Invisible" rock guard materials available for smooth painted surfaces.
