No problem... I recently had my SRT engine disassembled, including the SC... And there is no bypass valve for the SC... Once that clutch engages, it's compressing the intake air... One thing I found interesting though, is that during "normal" operation without the SC engaged, the intake air just passes thru the SC and around the screws into the cylinder heads. This makes for a very constricted path.
That supprises me, I know MB do use a bypass valve on some SC engines (I have one that I might mod to use on something else - damm thing seems to be operated on the CAN network). I have an Eaton M112 SC and it would be very restrictive to pull air through if it were stationary, hadn't even imagined it as possiable, I wonder if the SC on the SRT/AMG engine is different.
