Re: Engine Temp
I'm trying to understand the need to lower engine temp. and maybe I am missing something. It seems most owners see temperatures at the midway mark plus or minus a needle's width. Let's say for arguments sake that after flushing and changing the coolant with the right mixture and adding additives that on a really hot summer day the temperature went to the three quarter mark. Isn't this part of a normal operating range designed into the car taken into consideration by the engineers?
Now if owners are concerned about intake air temperature then the modifications should be directed at the intercooler and related system and not the engine temperature.
By the way, my car runs at the halfway mark in city driving and needle's width below halfway during freeway driving.
