I've spoken with many MB specialists and they tell me that nobody offers a higher flow, lower temp "flow opening" thermostat for this engine... So don't be surprised if you get some convoluted answer to your post...

If you want to free-flow your coolant, just remove the thermostat all together... No need to purchase something that is smoke and mirrors !
