Finding the forum - YAY !!!
Hey everyone !!! Wow, I should have figured there would be a forum for the Crossfire owners !!! WICKED !!! . . .
I NEVER thought I would own a Crossfire . . .however a trip to Vancouver island in July 2006 changed all that ! It was a 2004 Alabaster White Limited Coupe, 6 speed, sitting on the dealers lot - calling my name . . . alas, it was not to be, as it was Sunday and the dealership was closed !!! ARRGGHHH . . . no window sticker and only a price listed on the windshield - not to mention about 1/2" of GRIME all over the car - obviously it had been there for a while !!!
Fate is a funny thing though . . . I was back on Vancouver Island at the beginning of September, part work, part car show further up the island. Well, there was the car, still sitting there, Friday afternoon - and me done with work, heading north . . . so I go and talk to the salesman standing outside - he was a lucky man that day ! . . . it is a 2004 model, still NEW - never sold ! . . . hmmm . . . ok, go for test drive - only second time in a Crossfire ! . . . fun with the 6 speed !!! But alas, I leave for my friends up island . . . Saturday is salmon fishing early in am and car show from 9 am to 4 pm (Mopar show !!) . . . decide to head back to the Crossfire and make the deal !!!
Course I could not take the car immediately, as I was in my company car (2006 Magnum R/T, HEMI, All Wheel Drive - LOVE IT !) . . . had to wait TWO more weeks to fly in and then drive 1,000 km back to home !!! WAHOO !!! . . .
Have taken the Crossfire on a trip to Van Nuys last year for the Spring Fling car show - including the Day at the Track @ Willow Springs !! What a blast to drive a "sports car" around the race course, getting instruction and learning how to drive it !!!
Nothing done to modify the car, except changing out the seats and door panels for the Cedar color units !!! Looking forward to more information and such . . . thanks for letting me ramble !!!
