I get the 'snob' effect from some folks.
I was talking to one fellow at work about his modded WRX (not a STi). He asked what I had, I told him, he responded "I would stomp you." Doubtful IMO, but worth a shot.
Another guy was referring to a Porsche 930 Turbo in the parking lot at work. I said that it would be a good race, he looked at me like I was crazy and said, "that car would kill yours." It would probably be a close one. Even in the 930's prime ~1983 it is still almost even with a SRT6 performance wise.
A different occasion involved a non-turbo Solstice trying to race me. That was ugly. I was talking to someone about it (because they had mentioned looking at a Solstice) and he said "You're lucky it wasn't a turbo." Really? Because unless it was a heavily modded GXP, there would be little issue.

Oh well, eventually people will learn . . . or not.
