I intend to keep both of mine for a long time. Therefore they are summer drivers to stay away from salt and sliding cars. I don't think they will ever be real valuable but it would be nice to drive a cherry Xfire in 20-30 years. They get stored over the winter although I take them out every 2-4 weeks when the roads are dry just to loosen everything up.
I had a 48 Chevy pickup that I stored all winter and every spring I would have leaks and stuff from dried up gaskets. It was better to keep it running on the nicer winter days.
I would only worry about mileage if you intend to sell it someday. I put 26k on the roadster over three summers and I intend to drive the SRT6 a lot this summer to shake out any warranty issues before that expires. IMHO, I get more value driving these babies than I ever will making a slim (or none) profit selling them many years down the road. Besides, I think my kids want them.
