Just some musings....

For a two-seater GT, the Crossfire is well...enormous. This is not a "small" car. I parked next to an MX-5 the other day and I felt like I was towering over that thing. I parked next to a Z4 3.0 Roadster. I felt like I was parked next to a radio control car. I parked next to the "new" New MINI. Again, the Crossfire is enormous. A Z3 passed me one time and I was looking down at it. The car doesn't look that big when standing alone, but next to other sports cars, I realize that the car's styling is...for a lack of a better word...."roided up" so that the 19x9" wheels don't look out of proportion with the rest of the car.

How do you drive this thing? I can't seem to find a reason to rev above 4,500 rpm. It doesn't seem like I get considerably more power than the band between 2000 and 4500 rpm (the dyno sheets confirm this.) When non-SRT Crossfire drivers drag race, do you guys rev all the way to redline? Why not shift at 4500 rpm (peak torque)?

How do SRT6 drivers drag race? There's no clutch to drop. Do they just wait for the Christmas Tree to "go green" and then push the accelerator to the floor, letting the TCS and Auto Transmission Computer handle everything else?

I find that I drive at just under 60mph on the highway so that the spoiler isn't deployed. Then I accelerate past 60mph in order to get the wing up, but only if there are other people around so I can give them a show! Am I sick??

The stock stereo isn't that bad. It has some interesting features. The most interesting one to me is the "Best FM" setting, where you can scroll through a list of the strongest FM stations. The names of the FM stations don't often make sense, but it is more convenient than the standard preset button pushing.

Can tall people fill me in on why you think this car is too small on the inside? I'm 5'11" and with the seats as far back and low and possible, I have 3 inches of headroom and I can barely full depress the clutch with my tippy-toes and my legs fully straight. The passenger side is gigantic. Kind of like when you are in a four-door sedan and you rack the seat as far back as possible. Just obscene amounts of room.

Why do I keep thinking of the game "spy hunter" when I look at the Crossfire? I don't think it looks like the hero car, but for some reason the Crossfire makes me think of the game.
