I've just quickly scanned through this thread (and like most it wanders onto other stuff)...
Briefly, you should just be able to make/take a 'splash' of your current hood (show/customer side), out of fiberglass or similar (preferably something that does not shrink too much). Once you have that you have the mold for the outside of the hood - strakes and all. Then you lay your CF into that. One shot tool. You obviously have to trim the hood after that, finish up the raw edges etc, mount bracketry on the underside so you can attach it - unless you're going with pins etc. for an even lighter hood.
