Steve the sl55 air boxes are about 11/4" wider than the engine cover.I lined up the inside edge's of the air boxes with the inside edge's of the engine cover. If i find out how to post my pictures on the forum you will get a better idea what they look like installed. Sorry, as you can see i'm not from the computor generation.As my nymv plate says ILLCYA
