Regarding hardwiring a radar detector in my own Crossfire, I spliced into the hotwire in the overhead light near the windshield rearview mirror. I removed the light lens cover, then removed 1 or 2 screws to lower the light unit. I located a hot wire with a volt meter (sorry I don't recall which color it was. I did this some time back). From there I ran it over the liner (taping the area that come into contact with the liner's edge as it passed through to prevent cutting). And that was it. It did not take me long at all.
