The big ballon tires run like 8lbs. The only thing that concerns me is you can see that not all the tread is hitting the track. Maybe like an inch on each side doesn't have wear marks. I'll have to flatten them out and see how low they will have to be to hit. My concern is the big tires usually have bead locks on the rims to keep them from spinning and coming off the rim. We don't and I don't want to risk ruining the tire or worst from too low of pressure. So I'm awaiting curiously. If you call again, be sure to let me know.

I got home from work and the tire were here, so I loaded them in my truck and took them over to my neighbor to look at them. He own's a machine shop named Woodruff Machine, he builds race engine's and helps the guy that owns the local 1/8th strip run it. He use to race in his younger day's, but pretty well stay's to busy building engine's and running the track. He actually sell's Hoosier tire's and does know a lot about them, he said he has had guy's ask him about these DOT DR's, but had never seen them. He and another guy that does race that just happened to be there said they felt like a DO5 compound, they both said they should sick real good and should be no wear problem's driving it to the track from where I live. He said the biggest thing to worry about was running over something because they would puncher real easy. I was going to take a picture and post them & the wheels in the back of my truck, but I can't find the camara the wife must have it with her.
