You can indeed plug it both ways and also 180° turned.
Happened to be lucky because first try was apparently the right one.

Eruby, As I had posted previously on this thread I seemed to remember being able to connect the SB either way.
As posted here this is possible and it will only work one way.
If you connect it wrong you have NO THROTTLE RESPONSE.
No harm is done just simply unplug it and switch ends.
