Default Re: how much is it worth?

I'm a newbie here, but I'll offer my opinion. I just paid 13.9 for a certified 2004, 28xxx miles in like new condition. That's from a dealer, so I would expect to pay at least 1k less for private party (more paperwork/risk involved.) Also, I tend to stay away from cars that have been heavily modified as it usually (not implying this is the case with yours) means the cars have also been driven hard. Just a guess, but I would say the average age of a xf owner is higher than the avg age of people who mod their vehicles in the manner you have (nice looking vehicle, btw), so the market for a modded xfire is probably quite a bit smaller than for a mint condition un-modified vehicle. The present state of the economy certainly doesn't help this situation, it is not a good time to be selling anything (buyers' market all around.) If I were you and I was serious about selling, I might consider restoring what you can to factory condition and selling off the high-end parts you remove, you might come out ahead that way. If debt-to-income is the problem regarding floating both the car and home loan, you might consider joining a good credit union and refinancing what you owe for a longer term (and perhaps lower rate) to lower the payment (and your DTI ratio.)
