Tylerxfire - I hear what you're saying regardind the filter right behind the grill and water ingestion.
However... Needswings say they tested their intake for months with no trouble.
Also, the existing intake is no different - there you have 2 scoops to channel the fater into the engine, an no trouble - at least having a fine mesh/gauze/filter there should repel more water than 2 scoops!

Elfprofessor... they're company names, I wouldn't strain yourself trying to find out what they mean.
