I did not get a "custom tune" mine was the SI "Box tune" with just a few more dyno tweeks to correct the rich A/F ratio. If I had known I was not running lean with the 185mm pulley - I would have mailed my ECU to LET for the tune and saved a ton of $$ that I spent spinning on the Dyno.

Live and Learn - That's why I share the info - so you - my friends - can save and get the best bang for your $$

Like I said - pony up $75 and I will be glad to go to a local Dyno-Jet (not sure where there is a dyno-Pack in my area) - but unless you think my engine is junk - I don't see how you could feel the larger pulley would reduce your hp??

My only engine mods are:

Resonator removed (yea I used stainless material & proud of it)
MB SL55 Intake - (2 hour install)
LET 185mm Pulley (1 hour Install)
SI Tune

That's it!

** EDIT **

Si Custom tune was hundreds more then what I paid - that's why I settled for what I did.
I'm pretty sure SI's "box tune" would have been based on my tune which was a dyno and road tune and on a 178mm pulley, as I was the first SRT6 that they tuned. They had my car for 9 days and did a sh*tload of dynos too. So in that sense, i would think they gave you a "custom" tune.

Not sure now, what other gains they would have been able to pull off even if you opted for that "custom" tune.
