Default Re: Remote start? Chrysler says so!

Well.......... Here is the real answer to the mysterious 2008 Remote Start buzz that is circulating. The answer to the question that we are all wondering is "UNFORTUNATELY.... NO!!!! YOU CAN'T ADD THE FACTORY REMOTE START FROM THE 2008 CROSSFIRE TO ANY OTHER MODEL.". I know.... I know... It hurt me also but it can't be done. The issue is that the 2008 even though it looks the same drives the same and rides the same, it doesn't talk the freaking same. They all come with a WIRELESS MODULE IN 2008. Our cars from 2004 to 2007 are the same with a major difference of having a SKIM MODULE. It's like talking in Arabic to a person that understands Grass or Hampster talk. I am going to get the 2008 and have it side by side with my 2004 and have a tech break it down when they come in but it seems impossible to the techs right now. I actually told the head technichian that I would pay up to $3,000.00 for the key fob integrated Remote Start and he says no. I still haven't given up hope but I have to get the 2008 in to see first. For now though my fellow CROSSFIRIAN'S IT LOOKS TO NO BE DUABLE. Keep ya updated.
