I ordered the TVT Design Cold Air Intake with Mercedes Engine Cover last week on Tuesday and received the Cold Air Intake this Monday. The Engine Cover is back ordered and I should be receiving hopefully sometime next week. The installation took approximately 1.5 hours and the hardest part was snaking the flex tubing under the headlight into the same compartment as the fog light. It was too hard to go in from above, so I had to go in from underneath. This requires taking off the driver side wheel and removing the front wheel base paneling. After the paneling was removed I was able to snake the tubing in. I also had to untwist the flex tubing tube mount and seperate it from the flex tube to make it easier. There's hardly any clearance to push the tube through, so that was the toughest part. Assembly of everything is pretty easy and secured with O band clamps. My only gripe is I wish the the two connecting aluminum tubes was one piece rather than two and also I wish the tubes were more shiny, they are actually kind of dull. I haven't had time to actually measure the air tempurature coming in with my
OBDkey Scan Tool to measure the actual Intake Air Temperature because I'm too tired, but with a short test drive around I can already tell that the CAI has made a noticeable improvement in acceleration. Also the car now growls differently than with the standard air box. It's slightly louder, but not bothersome. I can't wait to get my Mercedes Engine Cover in.
