I looked into trying what you are saying and I'm not saying it can't be done, but it would be a tough job. When I done my SL55 swap I considered drilling a small hole in the top part of the OEM air boxes (in the back where it would not be seen). Then finding something that would gauge the suction like they use on heavy equipment & tractors that tell you when your air filter is getting clogged, (little red button pops up). I had thought of doing this just to find out if using the OEM air boxes would cause the S/C to be starving for air while running a bigger pulley. I still may do this one of these day's after seeing what was in my air filters when I was doing the SL55 swap, bugs like you wouldn't believe.
