Using the auto stick part of the automatic is no different then putting a regular automatic in to 3, 2 or L. It is not a tiptronic and will still shift on you.

They manual clutch was a little clunky for the first thousand miles or so but is smoother now (had a friend drive it when I got it and again more recently and that was his comment).

Personally I drove both and like how the rear end of the car would get all over the place in the manual so I bought it. Yes, mine is a daily driver and I live in austin traffic but I have yet to own a sports car with an automatic transmission.

Try them both and see which fits your lifestyle best...
