Yeah; these Hoosiers were designed to need very little heat up to be sticky. I always drive around the water box, come to a stop and floor it until the tires hook(about 2-3 seconds) a little and let off.........then stage. The next open track day out here isn't until March 14th so it will be a while before I get to see the results with these tires.
One of the guy's that were checking the tire's out helps run a local 1/8th mile track, he just live's around the corner from me and the last time I talked to him he said the Vette's, Camaro's & Stang's with street tire's can't get a good launch at all. He had also told me at that time that the guy that own's the track was looking into turning it into a 1/4, that's one reason I ponied up the $$ for the wheels & DR's. Well he said since I'd talked to him last the owner had sold the rest of the farm land at the end of the track, so there goes my hope's for a 1/4 mile track close to home

. I don't know if you noticed the pic of the G-Tech meter on the first page, it show's how bad of a launch I'm getting on street tire's, so if these DR's hook I'll have a great improvement.
