I wound up buying a pair off tirerack.com today, and will keep the 1 good rear tire as a spare. Down the line it may be good to buy a spare rim. nothing fancy but one which will fit the tire.

drunkiq: the first time it emptied on the highway, just deflated. i ran on it empty, and it worked as a run flat should.

the 2nd time yesterday i had a nail. they tried to repair it and sidewall cracked in a clockwise fashion around the tire. they blamed the tired, i blamed them. we agreed to disagree.
