Now, now, there's no need to be on your high horse. Read my post again, perhaps more carefully, and you'll I mentioned I also have a Charger Daytona. The Crossfire SRT6 is not the only American-badged vehicle manufactured by DCX with a Mercedes automatic transmission. I will agree that it is a fine transmission, but in opinion it is not the same as rowing your own.
Note I never even said the transmission was lousy! I said the engineers were lousy! MB has a habit of issuing their performance vehicles with automatics only. Where's the fairness in that?
