Default Re: Close Encounters of the Police Kind

This isn't exactly a Crossfire story, but one time I was up near the Mall of America street tuning a turbo DC4 Integra. My brother was driving and I was sitting in the rear passenger seat (we had removed the front passenger seat for space.)

My brother was driving around looking around for 93 octane gas because we were tuning for 11psi boost. We must have gone to 5 different gas stations that night. Apparently a policeman saw us driving around here and there and got curious so he eventually pulled us over. Mind you, we had wires, cables, etc from the wideband and ECU datalogger all over the floor and I was sitting in the car buckled in with a laptop reading AFRs. We must have looked pretty bizarre to the cop, but he just asked why we were driving around into so many gas stations and if we were drunk. Our answers: "We're looking for 93 octane gas" and "No sir we aren't drunk!" - all with a smile.

He let us go with a warning: "remember boys to use your blinkers when turning at every turn".
