You can drive HWY101 from Californis to Washington along the cost. Not the fastest route, but lots of great sceneary and curves. A drive down the Columbia River gorge is very nice and take off at Hwy 97 south to Hwy 26 and back to Portland past Mt. Hood. Nice mountain roads. And the Washinton peninsula up on the Puget Sound has some great drives and sceneary. Stop by Pikes Place Market in Seattle. How much time are you taking? That will be your limiting factor.
