How do you turn the key? Is it hard? I'm majorly interested, and can I ask how much it cost to install / the unit itself / etc.

Details please !!!
This is a DIY project, and afterwards you can attach the key to any normal size keyring. Once you insert the key into the ignition, just turn the keyring to start the car, real smooth and easy to do.
  • Rip apart a remote, remove the key and chip. The chip is small & black, it is next to the base of the key in the remote.
  • Get a file and etch the base of the key, the side that has the small pin which holds the flat key to the base. Etching will make a rough surface for the epoxy glue to bond the chip to the base.
  • Mix a small batch of Quick Set 5 minute epoxy glue. Wait about 2 minutes and smear the glue using a toothpick on the etched area. Then place the tapered portion of the chip flush with the base and let it set for 10 minutes.
  • Mix a second batch of epoxy glue. Wait about 3 minutes and using a toothpick, smear epoxy to cover the entire chip. The glue will flow smoothly over the chip after 5 or so minutes. Let this cure overnight.
