Default Re: Bad Things about the xfire

What's bad about the crossfire? Let me tell you, our SRT is nothing but trouble. The day we brought that gorgeous black "art deco artillary shell" home everyone wanted to ride in it. One at a time, of course. My time, my gas, and not a thank-you from any of them. Just a lot of "WOW, cool car!"and "that was AWESOME!" and "this is a what? a CHRYSLER?" This car is turning me into a scofflaw, too - the posted speed is for everyone else but me. I've developed a driving style of short but violent acceleration followed by hard braking, hopeing to satisfy my newly aquired speed addiction without getting caught. I size up every car I see for their competitive value. It's a warped kind of situational awareness. And as fast as this car is, I have noticed that it routinely takes me longer to get home. The twisties, sweeping curves, and long, secluded straightaways that I love simply are not found on the straight and narrow path to our house. This car has put a strain on our relationship, too. I'm now the jealous husband-- she gets to drive it more than I do. And she's become overprotective and possesive-- of the SRT, of course. She has been known to sniff the air after I back it into the garage. What is that hot smell? she asks. A real lack of trust, I think. And you know the worst is yet to come. My rock-solid conservative and frugal values have been so eroded that I'm actually toying with the notion of a second srt. It's only money. Our daughter doesn't need a college fund. Wait a minute! I'll buy her the car! And I'll have 8 years enjoy it before she's old enough to drive. Why do tomorrow what you could do today? I need change. I need hope. I need some fresh ideas.
