Default sprint booster

I'm guessing that the electronic throttle is transmitted by MiliAmps, just wondering if this is the case and if so then is the only thing the sprint booster is doing is boosting the MiliAmps wide open to make it appear that with just a little bit of throttle you are wide open, I would think this is the case because if this is what it is then it would explain why it gets rid of the learning curve

also if it is the case then the sprintbooster could be done for a lot cheaper than the 260 or 280 that everyone asks for it.
