redlinedrummer, thanks for your answer. As there are other production
cars that are quicker in a straight line, I am going to assume that the
strongest reason for you to have bought the SRT-6 was the "unique look".
I can certainly understand that point of view. Before the SRT-6 came out,
I thought the Crossfire had the best looks of any new car I had seen in
about 30 years. I had also thought the car was severly under powered for
its looks. But, as I really liked the "unique look", I was ready to purchase a
limited. It was just my luck, that as I was coming ready (financially) to
buy, the SRT-6 became available.
Good luck with your plan to "soften" the ride. Not what I would be looking
for, but to each their own. Be sure to let us know what steps you take to
achieve the goal, as well as letting us know how well you like the result.
