Probably the most dramatic difference you'll see w/o breaking the bank on suspension parts/installation. 45 series tires on 17's would be an acceptable fit and there are a number of inexpensive 45 series tires that ride pretty softly. Check the reviews on tire rack. Worse case if you don't like the 17" wheels/tires, you can always just sell them on EBay.
