Again, just my .02 observation.

Well yesterday morning I met Crossfire Trail, at Newport Grand at around 10:15. My buddy johnhayes6 tagged along with his graphite SRT-6. After comparing cars we grabbed some coffee and a bite to eat at a local diner. Sitting at the table in the diner and looking out the window, it was a nice sight, seeing Crossfire Trail's white limited parked next to my saphire silver SRT-6 and finaly johnhayes6's graphite SRT-6. I can't even imagine what 15+ of these babies is going to look like.
After a great breakfeast, the three of us made our way up Thames where we got separated a couple times. It became apparent to me just how difficult it is going to be trying to keep all of the Crossfires together traveling through Newport. We really need a police escort! Anyway we stopped into Belcourt Castle to see how the cars would fit in the lot. Its pretty tight but there is a whole strip of asphalt lined with no parking signs. We were thinking that maybe if it could be aranged ahead of time they might let us line up in that spot because it will certainly accomodate 20 or so cars.
After shooting the sh$t a little more, we made a right out of Belcourt's drive way to make our way down Ocean Drive. It was awesome, I had never seen the surf that rough before. There were actually chunks of concrete in the road from the surf slamming the wall. Crossfire Trail managed to snap a few pics of our three cars together and i hope that he posts those up soon.
We then made our way up to 138 where Crossfire Trail took the lead heading into Jamestown. We toured three different spots to see what we had for options. We first hit Fort Wetherill, then Fort Getti Park, and finally Beavertail State Park. I must admit, I wasn't super impressed with Fort Wetherill or Fort Getti. It seemed that Beavertail had the best views but not a whole lot of tables. I might be a little biased but I really think that Colt State Park is much nicer than all three. Its bigger and has many more sites and tables available. I know that its probably too late to change the park portion of our meet to Colt State Park but its certainly something to consider for the future.
Anway it was a lot of fun cruising with the three cars together, we certainly received our fair share of looks from the islanders. I can't wait for the meet, its going to be a lot of fun no matter what we do.
