I might be a little biased but I really think that Colt State Park is much nicer than all three. Its bigger and has many more sites and tables available. I know that its probably too late to change the park portion of our meet to Colt State Park but its certainly something to consider for the future.
Hi DAMSRT6, ...Colt State Park is a beautiful spot. Many of the hookup XFires can return home by going that way. The only ones who would be put out by traveling that far north are the folks headed back towards CT. Our jaunt around Newport proper is not that long, and if we didn't do the Jamestown thing out to the southern end, we certainly would have plenty of time to set up at Colt State Park. It would actually be a lot warmer there this time of the year compared to standing outside near the ocean. Some of the participants may not want to do multiple trips over the Newport Bridge so going to Jamestown and then coming back over the bridge again to head for Bristol, may not be popular.
I know I wouldn't mind going to Colt State Park. I don't think our itinerary is chiseled in stone yet.
