It could serve a purpose to store a few small things where the cup holder goes basically unused. I'll stick with the closed cup holder.

Actually the bin does not take away from the looks of the console ! It's easy to install and very functional. Great place for the wallet, cell phone, blackberry, etc, etc, etc.
BTW thats a great price on Ebay, the Stealership will charge ya 50 bucks for part and shipping. !
