Wink Re: Do you change your oil after garaging for the winter?

In my mind oil is cheap and I still change every 3000 miles and never look back. If I stored the car for a while I WOULD ALWAYS CHANGE BEFORE STORAGE TO KEEP FROM ETCHING THE BEARINGS WITH OLD ACIDS.

Sitting still adds no crud, if you want add a small heater under the oil pan with a thermal switch to cut in where you like, 40 degrees. That would be over kill. My 6 pack 440 never gets started without oil pressure first. THATs important to float the bearings after a long snooze. An oil pressure accumulator is easy to add or as I did, make.
