e-85 has less energy per gallon than regular old gasoline and to achive the same power you would use more e85 and also e85 has been proven not to be good for the enviorment because if you include the factor in all the equipment and land used to grow it uses more energy to make than gasoline. Octane is not a measure of power but a measure of anti-knock.
