Default New Crossfire owner

Just bought a very clean 04 Xfire w/ 19Kmiles for $16,300 after TTL.

It's wierd driving a car again after having a crotchrocket (see pic) as a daily driver. I love the handling and feel of the car, especially at highway speeds, but the throttle response and ability to overtake is lacking, at least compared to a liter bike.

I've only had the car for a week, but decided to mod and build my own Cold Air intake.
did some measurements, already bought a 3.5-3'' reducing elbow, the piping and couples, and a conical filter attached to flexible aluminum piping. Planning on buying a K&N drycharger to prevent hydrolock, but waiting to measure actual size of filter.
Total cost, including drycharger, will be 168$ shipped. I love Ebay..

The last car I had was an '83 Jaguar XJS w/a chevy 5.7 Liter transplant and 3-speed 350 turbo transmission. Though it was fun, especially w/ racing headers and exhaust dumps, it was absolute **** in corners. That's why I got the Xfire - relatively cheap, MB engine and tranny, can keep up w/ boxsters in the corners, and screams Individual. I bloody love it.
