if it is a daily driver it could get expensive, about a $100 bucks for an oil change, but in general everything else is normal. The only tool for oil change is a cup style wrench for oil filter housing, other than that pretty basic, but the car does prefer mobile one oil which is the bulk of the cost. As far as reliablity, I think its pretty good, I have punished mine a bit and no problems, but I only have less than a 1000 miles on mine, with 2 oil changes( because of track use ).
