Don't get me wrong, I am appreciative of Bill's efforts to call us all together
for a few days, but the anarchist in me has been bubbling up ever since
the first reference made by Anthony about having TVT represented and
offering toys at the meet. I had thought things were smoothed over after
the initial brouhaha, but I guess I was wrong.
Strictures on when and where the vendor can set up? Requireing that the
vendor provide some product as a door prize? Can't have vendors
impacting the "schedule" (like it was closely followed last fall). I'm
wondering if a fee will soon be charged just for attending. Sheesh, this
"schedule" is starting to take all the fun out of things. What do we really
want for this kind of gathering? A formalized event like would occur
at a political ralley, or a loose affiliation of those with similar interests
who aren't needing so much order?
No offense meant, Bill, but you are coming at this like a Marine. Lots of
order and discipline, and a regimented focus on detail. Been there and
done that, while in the military. And, it is very useful in its place. But, I'd
like to see this loosened up a little. Let the vendors have some of the
freedom they deserve.

Hey Coyote,
I want this Meet to be whatever the Member Driver's let it evolve to, "Nothing Overly Formalized",
but , We do have to be in the Same Spot at the Same Time to Get in the Same Group Pic, agree? (That is a Schedule Requirement & there are other's) (In the same vein,
No one needs to go to anything at any time.) (There is Total Freedom for you all!)
Those (2) Tables (& Only 2 Tables) I arranged in the Lower Lobby (after quite a bit of trouble, I might add, as we were beat to that Area by another Group), should be for Our Members First & Only if, we fill them, the Vendors, then can Fend for themselves.
Anyone else's thoughts on this, I'm
'Almost', totally Flexible?

BTW The Scheduling comes from Tax Seasons as a CPA for 35 years, not as a US Marine NCO, for 4 years so many years ago!
Also, Yes, there is a Need for a Small Fee, maybe $10 or $15, to cover the Common expenses of the Meet, as I have personally been covering these so far & I'm Not Complaining!
(Just a few of my thoughts, as I slip into my "Flame-proof Suit".)
