I don't see why the timing belt would concern you... unless you plan on using an undampened pulley.. the stock or aftermarket pullies will very unlikely shred the belt and well... what else could happen to it? and if I remmber correctly it is no more than a couple hundred dollars anyways..

The typical maintance schedule on this car is pretty dilusional.. they suggest 7k mile oil changes, but everytime I changed mine at 3.5k it just looked filthy.. they also suggest changing the cabin filter WAYYYY to often... I pulled mine out at 25k thats way over their suggested time and it was prefectly clean.. Yet they suggest the tranny fluid changed only once at 80k? I am going to change it at 50k and they don't suggest changing the differential fluid, but that should be changed a long with tranny fluid as well..
I just want to make sure it is not something crazy like $2,000 to get the timing belt/chain replaced lol. I paid $800 for my other car which was acceptable i guess (included tranny flush.
