SPAM (electronic) is defined, by Wikipedia, as "unsolicited or undesired bulk electronic message." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spam

SPIM http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spam may also be an appropriate clarifying definition.

"Messaging spam, sometimes called SPIM,[1][2][3] is a type of spam targeting users of instant messaging (IM) services." -Wikipedia

This is inappropritate, and impolite. Please don't SPAM me again.

You totally forgot one other way of describing spam..................it's pretty good fried and put on toast!
