congrats...i've got about the came version and i just love it more all the time. best car i've ever had and, starting with a 57chevy convert in 1964, i've had a bunch.

you were wise to find this forum early so you should have more realistic expectations for the car. all complex mechanical systems need fixing/adjusting and this car is no different. there will be "issues".

don't be afraid to abuse the automatic transmission. the germans build these things to be driven hard and the only way to get really effective with the auto is to use it a lot. for me, i've learned to anticipate the downshift in advance, hold the shifter hard to the left and trust the machine to be in the best power-range when i'm ready to punch it.
