Free, are you sure you weren't charged for it somewhere??? I would check your contract to make sure it wasn't added in, if it was... have it removed.

The so called "paint protection service" is usually offered as an over priced add-on and is nothing more than a money maker for the dealer... stay away from it!!! This has been around a long time in various forms and is not much more than snake oil. A similar package was sold in Sacramento in the late 70's under the name of, "Ming Paint Protection". It is nothing more than taking some polishing compounds and high speed buffing out your car. It's advertised as a sealer that closes up the pores in your paint job. While it does bring a gloss to your cars finish, it fads and is not worth the money... IMHO.

Note: If you find it was unknowingly added into your contract, confront the dealer and advise your finance company. It takes some leg work but it can be removed and your monthy payments are reduced.
